New Year / New Home

The ultimate goal –Certificate of Occupancy– was obtained.

Best. Christmas. Present. Ever.

Finally able to capture an interior photo free of boxes and piles of “Hmm, where should this go…?”

Thanks to all for the good thoughts and wishes through the process!

Solid as a…

Earlier this week the walkway and rear patio were poured.

By the end of today, there should be a driveway!

The inside is coming along nicely as well. More to come… Stay tuned!

Control Freaks Need Not Apply…

This is the hard part. Waiting… waiting… and then waiting a bit more. Changes come slowly, but when they occur, they’re beautiful.

Garage doors are installed. Countertops are in process…Flooring was delivered; installation began MON 11/21 and was completed TUE 11/22.

More to come soon… Tradesmen will be onsite next week to finish electric, plumbing and HVAC. Carpeting installation is scheduled for December 6.

Taking Shape

So much is happening on the interior… …some days it’s hard to keep track of what has been delivered and what is getting installed!

Electricians were on site today installing smoke detectors, outlets, etc.

Bottom line, the inside is starting to look a little bit more like a home. Estimated move-in is the end of November!

Stoned

The stonemasons arrived early yesterday and were onsite most of the day to install exterior stonework.

Not possible to get interior pictures the last few days with all of the drywall work being done. Far too dusty to see much!

Next up: texture interior walls, millwork, and cabinets!

Olive Green

Hard to believe it has been ten days since the last post! Things are progressing well… drywall was being installed today during an early morning walk-through.

The olive green is pretty in the morning sunlight. Amazing to see it all coming together!

What a Week!

This week has been a flurry of activity! Electric and plumbing rough-in should be complete tomorrow. HVAC is installed. Today the front porch, garage, and back porch (concrete) were poured + the well was drilled today!

A representative from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources was onsite to oversee the drilling of the well… A full water report will be provided when the pump is installed.

Next up… Drywall, insulation, siding and trim!
